Trouwen in Madrid

Madrid is de Spaanse bruiloft voor stellen die een stad willen die hun gasten echt kunnen bereiken en een feest dat doorgaat tot het ontbijt. Het centrum biedt palacios, historische hotels en gebouwen met binnenplaatsen waar een formeel diner kan staan zonder ook maar iets te versieren, en de wijken rond Retiro en Salamanca houden iedereen op een korte taxirit van elkaar. Twintig tot zeventig minuten verderop opent de regio zich in finca's, ommuurde landgoederen en buitenhuizen, en de sierra in het noordwesten richting Guadarrama en San Lorenzo de El Escorial zet bergen achter de ceremonie tegen prijzen ver onder die aan de kust.

Het past bij stellen met gasten die uit meerdere landen invliegen, want Barajas heeft directe vluchten naar bijna heel Europa en het hogesnelheidsnet brengt Sevilla, Valencia en Barcelona binnen een paar uur voor iedereen die de reis verlengt. Plan rond het lokale ritme: om half tien eten en na drieën nog dansen is hier gewoon. De beperking is de zomer.

    De middagen in juli en augustus komen regelmatig boven de vijfendertig graden en een groot deel van de stad sluit in augustus. Trouwen jullie in de hoogzomer, zet de ceremonie dan in de avond, zorg voor schaduw en water, en controleer of jullie leveranciers die maand werken.

    Finca's buiten de stad leggen meestal hun eigen catering en bar op, en hebben een muziekvergunning met een eindtijd die de gemeente bepaalt. Vraag schriftelijk om de exclusiviteitsvoorwaarden en de vergunde uren voordat je offertes vergelijkt.

    Locaties in het centrum zitten in woongebouwen en drukke straten, wat de opbouwtijden, late muziek en toegang voor bussen beperkt. Controleer de bezorgtijden en waar leveranciers mogen parkeren voordat jullie het tijdschema vastleggen.

Ernaartoe komen

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas is een van de beter bereikbare luchthavens van Europa en ligt twintig tot dertig minuten van het centrum met de metro, de Cercanías-trein of een taxi. Hogesnelheidstreinen vanaf Atocha en Chamartín bereiken Sevilla, Málaga, Valencia en Barcelona in twee tot drie uur, en Segovia en Toledo in ruim onder het uur als jullie gasten een tweede dagje uit willen geven. In de stad heeft niemand een auto nodig. Reken voor een finca in de sierra op veertig tot vijfenzeventig minuten enkele reis en laat pendelbussen heen en terug rijden, want 's avonds komt er geen taxi naar een hek op het platteland. Publiceer de vertrektijden van de pendelbus, niet alleen het adres van de locatie.

Voordat je iemand iets belooft

Stellen uit het buitenland trouwen vaak juridisch thuis en houden een symbolische ceremonie bij de finca of het hotel. Waar een burgerlijk of kerkelijk huwelijk ter plaatse mogelijk is, verschillen de eisen, documenten, vertalingen, woonvoorwaarden en een eventuele wachttermijn per nationaliteit, per gemeente en door de tijd heen, en de praktijk verschilt tussen gemeentehuizen in dezelfde regio. Niets hiervan is juridisch advies: bevestig de actuele regels bij de ayuntamiento waar jullie willen trouwen en bij jullie eigen instanties, en zorg dat je het antwoord schriftelijk hebt voordat je er een datum omheen plant.
