Trouwen in Amalfikust

De Amalfikust is theater: citroenterrassen boven het water gestapeld, pasteltinten dorpen, een ceremonie waarbij de zee elke foto vult. Het past bij stellen met een kleinere gastenlijst, een echt budget en zin in logistiek, want alles hier is verticaal. Locaties liggen op kliffen die je via haarspeldbochten bereikt, bussen kunnen er vaak niet langs, en het laatste stuk naar een terras kan honderd treden zijn die jullie grootouders moeten beklimmen.

De prijzen weerspiegelen het uitzicht: dit is een van de duurste plekken van Europa om te trouwen, en de hotelprijzen voor gasten in het hoogseizoen doen daaraan mee. Daar staat tegenover dat je nauwelijks decoratie nodig hebt. Wat stellen verrast, is het verkeer in juli en augustus, wanneer tien kilometer verplaatsen een uur kan kosten, en de wind, die op het laatste moment beslist of de ceremonie op het terras nog doorgaat.

Ernaartoe komen

Napels is voor bijna iedereen de luchthaven van aankomst, gevolgd door anderhalf tot twee uur over de weg, of in het seizoen een veerboot vanaf Napels of Salerno.
