Se marier : Rome et Latium

Rome, ce sont deux mariages dans une même région. En ville, il y a des palazzi aux salles à fresques, des cloîtres, des toits-terrasses au-dessus des tuiles, et un dîner à distance de marche de tout ce que vos invités étaient de toute façon venus voir. À une demi-heure de là, le Latium devient une campagne à laquelle les couples étrangers pensent rarement : les Castelli Romani dans les collines volcaniques au sud de la ville, des domaines agricoles et des villas le long des anciennes voies consulaires, et le lac de Bracciano à une heure au nord-ouest, où l'eau et le château qui la domine font l'essentiel du travail pour une fraction du prix des lacs du Nord.

La région convient aux couples qui veulent le grand décor italien sans le prix toscan, et dont les invités transformeront volontiers le week-end en escapade urbaine. Les contraintes sont la circulation et la chaleur. Le centre historique est ceinturé de zones à trafic limité qui décident où un autocar peut s'arrêter et quand un fleuriste peut décharger, et les après-midis de juillet et d'août tournent autour de trente-cinq degrés pendant qu'une bonne partie de la ville ferme pour ses propres vacances.

Ce qui surprend les couples, c'est la vitesse à laquelle la campagne commence dès qu'on quitte le périphérique, et la fermeté avec laquelle les villes des collines tiennent leurs limites de bruit nocturne.

    Une grande partie de Rome prend ses propres vacances autour du Ferragosto, à la mi-août, et les après-midis de juillet et d'août tournent autour de trente-cinq degrés. Vérifiez que le lieu, le traiteur et le restaurant du dîner de bienvenue sont réellement ouverts cette semaine-là.

    Les villes de collines et les villages du bord du lac font appliquer des limites de bruit nocturne. Obtenez l'heure exacte de coupure de la musique amplifiée en extérieur, et la possibilité de poursuivre la fête à l'intérieur.

S'y rendre

Fiumicino reçoit les vols long-courriers et la plupart des vols européens et rejoint Termini en une demi-heure environ par le train express de l'aéroport, ou en quarante-cinq minutes par la route ; Ciampino accueille les compagnies à bas coût. Les trains à grande vitesse atteignent Termini depuis Florence, Milan, Naples et au-delà : les invités italiens et beaucoup d'Européens n'ont besoin d'aucun avion. Les lieux des Castelli Romani sont à environ quarante-cinq minutes du centre et le lac de Bracciano à environ une heure, et les deux se rejoignent plus facilement en autocar loué qu'en train régional. Publiez une seule page d'arrivée avec les deux aéroports, l'option train et le temps de route depuis chaque hôtel que vous recommandez.
